Small Private Dining Room?

My siblings and I want to take our parents out for a nice dinner for their 60th birthdays. There are two small grandkids, so it would be nice to have small private dining room (preferrably w/o a fee). Most of us live in the NW burbs, but we would also consider anything in the city as far south as Chinatown and Little Italy. We are pretty open to any type of cuisine, but would probably prefer Chinese, Italian or Seafood. It is also possible that we might have to schedule this for Sunday lunch after Thanksgiving. Any suggestions? Much appreciated.

P.S. The party will consist of 8-9 adults + 2 babies

There was a great little room at the rear of Catch 35 downtown. We have eaten there with no additional cost or special menu restrictions. The asian themed scallops with chive dumpling was fantastic.

There is nice room at One Sixty Blue, although I have not eaten there in at least 5 years and can't vouch for the food. It's a beautiful room, though, with a round custom built table and chairs. It can seat up to 15 - 20 people.

Vinci in LIncoln Park has a couple of private rooms and serves pretty dependable Italian food.

carlucci in rosemont has a small room called the 'tamarack' room that seats about 15, and i'm pretty sure they don't require a room fee unless it's a super-busy night. they are almost always slow on weekends.

if you wanna spend BIG bucks... Tru has a private dining room... i don't know that kids will be OK there though.
