Moho Grill was written up in the tribune cheap eats section a couple of months ago, and I have finally checked it out. I thought someone had mentioned it here before but my search showed nothing. It is on route 60 in vernon hills, in the same strip mall as Dominicks. It is a very clean modern space where no expense was spared, which is somewhat surprising since it is essentially a fast food place in a strip mall. The menu has a cuban theme, and includes grilled panini sandwiches, pita sandwiches, salads, roasted chicken, and their speciality, chops. The cuban sandwich was very good, ham. pork, cheese and pickles, though i cant comment on its authenticity since my cuban experience is very limited. The grilled chicken panini was a bit dry, too dry for my son, but with the addition of the moho sauce (basically spiced up mayo) it was fine for me. Their "original" pita had chicken, blue cheese, lettuce, tomato, pico de gallo, hot peppers, and ranch dressing. It was very good and refreshing. The roasted chicken (1/4 dark) had good flavor and moistness, but the skin was not very crispy. I didnt try any salads, though they looked good and they are made fresh to order. The highlight was their chops. Mine had grilled chicken tossed with pico de gallo, onions, and lettuce served over black beans and rice. they have a number of self serve sauces available, and the hot sauce went well with my chop. the black bean with chorizo soup was excellent, and clearly made in house. Everything is pretty much in the $4-8 range. The word that keeps coming to mind when i think of my 2 lunches there is refreshing. They serve relatively healthy, fresh, tasty food at a reasonable price.
