but seems like every time I've been in the last 3-4 years there is some type of snafu either service or food wise
If there is any commonality among my posts, it's my desire to stay local. I like the fact that my three year old Jeep Liberty has less than seven thousand miles on it. In other words, if I can walk to it, it gets my business. Wishbone falls into this category and I would like to give them my business, but I will cross the street to Le Peep any day.
I have been a bartender for twenty years. I have an understanding about the industry. I consider myself to be the lowest of low maintenace customers. I realize that a server can have a bad day. I don't need to have my hand held. I distinctly remember walking into the place after two really bad server experiences and thinking "Three strikes, you're out!"
Suffice to say, I had another horrible meal.
Sorry Delk, but I have found it to be not much more than bland, chainlike food.
The nice thing about having salt, pepper, catsup and hot sauce is the ability to doctor said blandness to one's content. In a perfect world, none would ever be needed. And yet, none of these common table top condiments has any effect on the horrid service. I was patient, they had their fair chance and I will stay away.
