Also, I found this odd - I can't find Jerry's listed either on metromix or on the Chicago Reader site. WHy don't more people know about this place?

Post #4 - November 30th, 2005, 2:47 pmYes you can eat in. About a year ago, they expanded and now have additional seating in the back. They also, weather permitting, have sidewalk seating.
Jerry's is a bit off the beaten track, so I don't expect it to get a lot of attention. I however champion them. Great bread and great meats equals a pretty damn good sammy
I also give them a ton of credit for responding to the neighborhood. Four years ago, they closed at two and weren't open on the weekends. These days, they are open til eight thirty on the weekdays and til four on Saturday.Authorized time shifting let the genie out of the bottle....

Post #5 - November 30th, 2005, 6:25 pmThanks, gleam - though, if you type in "jerry's" in the restaurant search, only ben & jerry's and a couple of other places come up - not jerry's sandwiches. only if you do the general search do you see jerry's sandwiches.
