I felt like I was 15 again

Last week I was really sick with some type of stomach problems. So sick that I didn't eat at all for 2 days. When I finally could eat, I couldn't eat much. Over 4 days I ate about 1 meal total. But I was having cravings like a pregnant woman. I just couldn't eat much of what I craved.

Well one of my cravings was for a cheddar burger. I just didn't have the energy to hit Paradise Pup and stand in line for who knows how long. But Sunday night, after working all day, I had to drive to Wilmette to pick up my wife from her sisters. And on the way home, I just had to stop at Poochies. It didn't matter that it was like a blizzard outside, I had to have a cheddar burger.

So I go there with my wife on the way home and order. She wasn't really hungry since she'd eaten at her sisters' house. So I just ordered a burger and fries and each of us a drink. Well as soon as I sat down, I knew I'd never be able to finish it, so I asked my wife if she wanted some. You'd have thought I asked her for sex the way I had to beg, but she finally agreed to take half.

So I pulled out my pocket knife and cut it in half. So there I am, out on a Sunday night splitting a cheddar burger and fries with my girl while it's snowing outside. The 2 girls working the counter must have thought I was the cheapest guy in the world. Unfortunately my wife didn't get the joke when I told her she was a cheap date.

For the record, the cheddar burger was great and the fries were even better. Sorry to say, I was only able to eat about 10% of them.

For the record II, I also stopped just east of there at Eastern Style Pizza and picked up a couple grinders for the next few days. Those were great too.
