I've mentioned it before, but it bears repeating that La unica easily has the largest variety of tamales in town. (Country of origin-wise. Some Mexican tamaleros have a wider variety in terms of fillings, obviously.) Most are available at the cafe, ready to eat, but even more are on hand in the freezer. At any given time you might find Cuban, Mexican, Guatemalan, Honduran, Colombian, Puerto Rican and Chilean takes on the humble snack.
Tamales in La Unica's freezer are available individually, so you can go home and steam up a Pan-American celebration of starch.
