While I wasn't the biggest fan of the pizza pot pies at CPOG when I lived in the city, (and definitely was not a fan of the long waits) I loved their bread and their large (and cold) salads, with the creamy garlic and poppy seed dressings. After hearing about CPC from someone at work, (I work in RM) we went there about a month ago on a Sunday afternoon. The salad and bread were great, and the pizza was the same as CPOG. It is not my favorite style, but it was still good.
As grant stated, CPC is not affiliated with CPOG, but people who have been to CPOG may recognize the older gentleman who is usually the host (and also apparently the owner) of CPC. (The waitress stated quietly that there had been a falling out between him and the owners.)
While the strip-mall setting is not as interesting of a setting as CPOG, there is ample parking and not a 1-2 hour wait at CPC. (There are some advantages to the suburbs, at least I keep telling myself that there are...)
