    Hi,
Has anyone been to Brioso recently?
I was curious as to how it is in comparison to dorado. I have been to neither.
Any thoughts? I just read the post on dorado
    thanks.

My one visit to Brioso left me longing for Dorado. Brioso is the anti-Dorado, complete with a full complement of Trixies and Chads and their offspring and accoutrements.

Brioso wasn't too bad - although the last time I was there was last summer (Janet Davies was eating at the table next to us and her summer "outfit" was enough to make me loose my appetite).

I think the thing I've had there the most are the tamarind shrimp tacos...mmmmmm shrimpy goodness! The prices are relatively reasonable. However nothing really stood out as fantastic, although the shrimp tacos are worth returning for. It's just a good place to go if you feel like food that's slightly more foofy than a taquiera.

Dorado is probably the place I'd default to if given the choice (is there anything better than the tilapia and green rice?????) and it's BYOB. The service is always helpful and they do fish like a dream. Additionally the cost is comparable with Brioso.

I guess to make a long story short, I agree with stevez: Dorado is just nicer, the food is tastier, and the clientele isn't as annoying.
