This is a Lincoln Park Italian place that is just a short walk from my place, but I've never taken the opportunity to try. I got a great coupon in the mail (2 for 1 entree), so I now have a greater incentive to get over there. How is the food? Any recs? I think a lot of their business is banquets and events. The restaurant itself looks nice, but just not sure what to expect.

I was the same way: I walked past this place a thousand times and never once thought they were anything other than a banquet space. But they are open for dinner through the week (like Tuesday to Thursday and Sunday, I think--something funky) and the food is really, really good. The space is really gorgeous, too--like a 20's ballroom feel--and it was mostly empty (and so quiet). The wine list is a steal--less than 100% markup on most of the bottles, if my math is right--and the menu prices are damn reasonable ($19 halibut, for example).

All around solid place for weeknight dinner. Try it and let me know what you think. And tell me where you got that coupon.

There is a coupon worth a maximum of $10 on the referenced web site.

I didn't know it was on the website. And here I've been looking for their coupons in my mailers (I know I've seen one for 1/2 off wine too).

Now I can print one whenever I want.
