I am going to Edinburgh next week on my honeymoon and I was wondering if anyone had any mindblowing dining experiences while there. I was there about ten years ago, however my expenses at the time only allowed for drink and I did not get to sample much of the food. Obviously my priorities have changed.
I am sure that my future wife and I will find good food, however if anyone has any recommendations off hand, I would really appreciate them.

I haven't had any mind-blowing dining experiences in Edinburgh. The best dinner I had there was at Witchery http://thewitchery.com I lived in St. Andrews for a year and the best dinner I had in Scotland was at the Peat Inn(it would be a bit of a drive). You can read a review here http://tinyurl.com/ymlh83 and there website is http://thepeatinn.co.uk Unfortunately it looks like they are under new ownership so I hope they still have the same high standards. St. Andrews is about an hours drive away and I would recommend going there (especially if you like golf at all). Also while trying to find info on the Witchery i found a website http://tinyurl.com/ydtxm7 it might be a good starting point but YMMV.

Have fun and congrats on the wedding.
