Came across this fantastic new-to-US chain in Phoenix's Glendale Shopping Center next to the new Cardinals stadium. It's from the Tahitian Noni corporation that produces Noni-based juice/foods/beauty products and operates cafes in Japan and Brazil plus Dallas and Atlanta here. This is their fast-food concept where you order and pay for luau-style foods at a counter upon entering, and your order is brought to the table.
I had this dynamite plate of Fish Tacos -- Mahi Mahi -- served with addictive sweet potato fries and a trio of salsas for just $6.25.
Barb had their pulled pork sandwich, which comes on a strange-but-good noni poi bun that gets its brown color from the plant juice. Just $6.50.
They had an adjoining Noni store selling their juices, beauty products and other wares. The menu included chicken, barbecue ribs, shrimp, salmon and both curry and noodle bowls. Here's hoping they make the move east.
