Yesterday I went to the Phantom Gourmet's BBQ Beach Party at City Hall Plaza in Boston. They featured a few of the top barbecue places from around the country.
The three I got to try were Q, which is from Virginia, Dave's Good Ole Boys Bar-B-Que, from New York, and Jack's Down Home Barbecue, which is out of Pennsylvania.
My favorite dish was the pulled pork from Jack's (great flavor, not too fatty, and excellent BBQ sauce), though the "world's best hot dog" from Q was also very good and the brisket from Dave's was decent.
Lines were crazy, with some running three hours long, but the weather was great and it was a really fun time.
Below is a link to photos of the places involved--there were some good ones that I missed, so hopefully they will do it again next year (and I will get there earlier).
