Does anybody have recs for affordable places within walking distance of the Convention Center in San Diego? Any kind of cuisine, really, though I would love at least one sushi meal so close to the ocean. The con itself will be fairly taxing on my energy and wallet, so I'm hoping to go light outside. :)

    Thanks in advance.

The best sushi in san diego isn't light on the wallet, unfortunately, though if you order carefully you could get out for a reasonable price. Would you have a car?
is making all his reservations under the name Steve Plotnicki from now on.

Well, I don't really need the best sushi, if I can get just good sushi for a lot less. *g* Especially good nigiri and sashimi. I like maki too, but it's generally secondary for me.

I'm actually not sure about having a car yet. I have a car reserved, but I'm thinking about cancelling to have more money for con and food.

If you get that car, definitely hit Point Loma Seafoods.
They're open from lunch through 6:30 pm.

I couldn't agree more. One of my favorite places in San Diego, and the views are incredible.

If you do get a car, also consider heading a bit beyond Point Loma Seafoods to Hodad's in Ocean Beach. I have had many burgers in my life, but perhaps none better than the one I had there.
