I will be in New York this Saturday, following my aspiring actor cousin around ActorFest 2007, to be held at the Hammerstein Ballroom. 311 W 34th St.

Does anyone know of a place I can drag him for a nearby lunch? It will be my only meal in the city.

    Hi,

This is my first post to the LTH Forum because it just so happens that I live in New York and probably can answer this question with some authority. Hammerstein Ballroom is quite near Little Korea (which is, oddly, also very near Macy's and the Empire State Building if you're looking for other attractions.)

There are plenty of places to check out, but I like this one for lunch:

    Mandoo Bar, 2 W. 32nd Street (that's at 5th Avenue)

This is also supposed to be great, though I've only tried a similar outpost in Queens. The famed chicken wings are worth a try:

Bon Chon Chicken, 314 Fifth Avenue at 32nd Street, 2nd Floor.

    Enjoy!

Thank you, artichoke. I will convince my cousin we have to eat at one of those places tomorrow for lunch.

    And welcome to LTH Forum!
