I've never been to the Yukon, but enjoyed reading about a trip thru the territory in Road & Track. One highlight of the report was about Buckshot Betty's in the town of Beaver Creek (population 112) which is roughly mid-way between Fairbanks, Alaska and Whitehorse.
Buckshot Betty's sign outside offers a "bakery, pizza, full menu, home cooking." Also cabins (where presumably you can sleep off overindulgences or wait out a blizzard).
The highlight of the report said:
"Introduced to Yukon specialty on a bun: ham slice, fried egg, burger, fried mushrooms, melted cheese. Want fries with that? Yes, please."

Just the thing for delicate appetites.
Where there’s smoke, there may be salmon.
