Our family unit visited Fitz's on Saturday, after a day at the zoo. We were quite pleased with the experience. Fitz's brews their own rootbeer on site and you can watch the bottling process from the dining area (although they weren't in progress on Saturday). The food was good, with good sized portions. I had a reuben, the spouse had a buffalo chicken wrap, and the offspring had a cheeseburger. We were quite pleased with the rootbeer, to the point of buying a 4 pack to bring home, and also with the chocolate shake for desert which had excellent chocolaty-ness and thickness.

Fitz's is near Forest Park and in an area called the Loop, which contains a lot of interesting looking shops and other feeding/drinking opportunities. We didn't explore the others on this trip but will definitely go back.

    Thanks for the good report,
we are bound down route 66 for a spring break road trip and Fitz's is definitely on our radar as our boys are root beer fanatics!
If you're even in Green Bay, another great home-brewed root beer is Sno-Cap at Titletown Brewery , and their beers are mighty tasty also if you're not the DD...
