    Lth,

Had one hell of a Cuban sand at Latin American Cafeteria on Coral Way in Miami. I was there once before, about two years ago, and, incredibly, the Cuban sandwich lived up to memory.

I also had plantain soup, rich with shreds of soft meat, and a delicious, but different café con leche. A standard coffee cup was filled with steamed milk and a little metal pitcher of café (espresso), no sugar added, was served on the side to pour into the milk.

Latin American Cafeteria is a cool as hell looking place, I will post more pictures when I get home. For now Mike G was kind enough to put this Cuban sand from LAC on his web site.

    Enjoy,
    Gary

Looks good Gary! been awhile since I've been in S FL to experience a great Cuban sandwich.

When in Miami Beach, a good option is Puerto Sagua Cuban Restaurant, 700 Collins Ave, (305) 673-1115 some of the cheapest yet best eats in Miami Beach.
I did absolutely nothing and it was everything I thought it could be.

looks like a hell of a sandwich, but i think they went a little overboard with the meat.
it looks like theres so much meat in there you can't even stick the whole thing in your mouth!!!
the top cheese layer looks damn appetizing as well...
