Recently, my nephew and I found ourselves at a small strip mall on the Northeast side of Tucson waiting for a music store to open, when we spotted an almost hidden (but very busy) tiny store-front breakfast joint called Biscuits Country Cafe. Having a bit of time to waste (and since my nephew is prepetually hungry), we decided to roll the dice take a chance.
Biscuits specializes in (of course) biscuits, and boy were they tasty. I don't claim to be a biscuit expert, but these namesakes were the finest freshest fluffiest most flavorful examples I have ever enjoyed.
The gravy wasn't too shabby either, and as you can see, they supplied plenty of the sopping material.
Both the ambience and the staff were absolutely charming. Here is a picture of my goofy nephew all hopped up on gravy with our lovely server.
Anyhow, if you find yourself on the East side of Tucson some morning, this hole-in-the-wall is definitely worth searching out (The non-biscuit items were pretty decent also).
