driving west to rushmore, then north to fargo

title says it all - any recs from chicago to cedar rapids, to suix city, to mt. rushmore, to fargo, then home via minneapolis? anything interesting at all?

Dining in Fargo is like dining in the 'burbs. Everything requires a car and a 5 mile drive. That said, I found Spitfire Grill on 13th ave sw to have pretty good ribs and BBQ. Also Doolittle's on 25th Street south of 94 had good wings and fish tacos. Finally, downtown on Broadway and 2nd ave N, Toscano's had good italian food but the rack of lamb was not a good piece of meat and I had to complain. Toscano's is right by the VFW and plenty of fun was had there!
