Can any one suggest any Ideas for a decent, well priced oyster bar in Manhattan? I know that the Grand Central Oyster bar restaurant is a shadow of its former self, so I wont be going there. Thanks, I tried searching for alternatives but no luck. Replies are much appreciated. Oh off the subject right when I check into my hotel I am heading for Sushi Yasuda!

FYI. Dock's has seen better days, too. But, it is very conveniently located.

Please explain. I've been going to the Oyster Bar for 15 years and was there a few months ago. I haven't noticed any big nosedive. I only eat in the New England-decorated tavern in the very back room. The big surgery theater looking main hall, while beautiful, freaks me out as a place to dine on expensive seafood.

While I haven't been here, I have heard very good things about this place:

For what it's worth, they also own Jewel Bako and Degustation Wine and Tasting Bar.
