I spent 5 years working for Waubonsee College in Sugar Grove and it was pretty much a food wasteland. Since that time the Fireside Grille has opened in what used to be a smorgasbord place popular with the farmers. I've been to Fireside a few times and it's good standard fare with large portions. Scarpaccis is mostly a pizza delivery place but they have a pretty good Italian beef, there is no table service, just carryout. For anything else, the west side of Aurora is just 10 minutes east on Galena Blvd. There is a pretty decent Mexican place with the awful name of Tiawuanna that shares a building with Brown's chicken. It's by the Wal-Mart. Orchard Valley Country Club has a pretty good restaurant and in downtown Aurora there is Ballydoyle and Walter Payton's Roundhouse, about 15 minutes from Sugar Grove. The west side of Aurora along Orchard Road and Galena have most of the usual corporate food options like Panera, Chilis, Quiznos. Geneva and Batavia are only 15-20 minutes from Sugar Grove with a lot more options.
