I went today. VERY crowded, as to be expected for the day after they opened.
I liked the produce as well as the prices. I hope that the lower prices than the major chain in our area plus the better quality remains.
VERY friendly staff who want to help. Very expensive frozen goods - Woodmans is far cheaper.

Obviously many Mexican items including lots that I cannot get at a standard local grocery.

The meat looked decent, prices reasonable. Many cuts that I cannot get other than a butcher.

Disappointed that I didn't see any tongue, but I expect that was because the meat section was very crowded with people grabbing things and I did not want to get further into that mess. They did have fresh kidneys. Also something I do not normally see - split chicken legs. I was so happy to see those.

Haha, I somehow got lost coming home from Summerfest last Saturday when I turned onto a southern exit by the ballpark and managed to drive past this store. I was wondering how long they'd had a Milwaukee presence.

Fake edit: Cripes, that's a great deal on Nescafe Classico. $3.99/7oz.

VERY CROWDED still, but IMHO worth the trip. I have become addicted to their split chicken legs done on the grill.
My only complaint is that the meat department is always being stocked due to sections being bought out. That and the frozen foods are not cost competitive except when comparing to the local regional chain - Woodman's is better.

I let many folks know about the opening, and almost universally I got back "Very Crowded" complaints, followed up by "Unlike PNS, easy to check out of".

I went today during my lunch break. It was super crowded but checkout was a breeze. I love their French Feta (we have a relative that brings it up from Chicago when she visits) so I picked up some of that, some smoke cured sliced beef and 3 different cheesese (manchego, Chimay, and a white NY cheddar), all of which were very reasonably priced. Also grabbed some olives. I love the fresh tortilla area but I just bought a bunch of tortillas earlier in the week from Pete's Fruit market.

I didn't buy any meat because i am going out of town but the selevtion was awesome. They have what I believe to be hanger steak but they butterfly it and called it mini skirt steak. The line for the meat counter was super long otherwise I would have asked for some non-butterflied ones.

I tried a couple things from their hot bar. The wings were decent but the ChicharrĂ³n were not very good. It almost tasted like the pork they used was less than fresh. I threw them out.

I am just addicted to their split chicken legs.
What i found very interesting was that everyone emailing me about them to a person
    1) complained about the crowds
    2) commented on how fast it was to check out
    3) complained about chairman boob and pic-n-save on how it was faster to drive to cermak from all over the milwaukee area, and get home before you could possibly think of checking out of pns.

I finally got over to this very nice store. Selections veer heavily toward Hispanic goods but there are better Indian, Polish and other international sections than at most Milwaukee supermarkets.

The meat department is awesome, broader than any supermarket I know of anywhere. I haven't been to their Aurora, Ill., store; I wonder if it is this good. It's worth noting that the meat is mostly packaged in large quantities, so small households will need to be prepared to repackage and freeze.

Meat and produce are very well priced, canned and packaged goods not so much. Produce looked nice, but again, the emphasis is on Hispanic items -- lots of chilies. They have fresh epazote but no tarragon. I had just come from the farmers' market, so I didn't get anything, but it all looked fresh.

The bakery items looked good, and they offer house-made tortillas, 49 cents a dozen.

It will be interesting to see how their selections change as they accommodate to this market.
