We enjoyed an evening at B
ottega del Vino in Verona about two weeks ago. Really cool atmosphere, especially if you are into wine.
I started with grilled polenta with gorgonzola, Bigoli (house-made spaghetti) with duck ragu, and beef cheek braised in Amarone sauce with mashed potatoes.
Deep wine list, which was overwhelming the way it was set up. I am sure I missed some gems, but wanted to drink local and gave up before my friends ordered all of their food without me. Went with two from Le Ragose, the 08 Ripasso ‘Le Sassine’ and the 07 Amarone. Both were just OK, wouldn’t buy again.
