hung out in the Yorkville area on Friday night - started up the road at Bristol Tap for some cheap drafts and Jim Beam rye. Wasnt in the mood for a burger, had some Longy style tacos on my mind.
Headed over to
Casa Santiago in downtown Yorkville, a block or two east of 47. not sure how long they have been around ,but I found out about them via a Yorkville food Facebook page i follow. checked out their menu and saw the Longy style tacos on the menu. Dropped them a note and they quickly sent me a picture of their Longy tacos back - - just what I was looking for & a tip of the hat for their quick reply -
a note - if you own a restaurant, and bother to have a Facebook page, or a website, or an email address, frickin answer inquiries. tired of spots that dont - appreciate the ones that do Longy tacos on the menu - 2 for aboot $8.99.,I couldnt get a pic to do them justice :
I liked em', my buddy didnt snarf his fast enough so his got shells got a little sogged. Beef filling had good flavor, melted cheese, pan fried shells. - yep

Barley Fork located on 47 where the Kendall Pub used to be. Just stopped in for a beer - bartenders looked to have some skill making some manhattans. Calling themselves a Gastro Pub, i can see coming back to give their food a shot.

Rowdy's - impressed, just a cool small town bar. cheap, cold beer, and a grill behind the bar knocking out some good looking and smelling burgers, really cool spot - Have heard their burgers might rival Bristol Tap. Ive also heard they do deep fried tacos as a special.
