I have heard that this was turned into a bistro. Is that true? If so, it is a shame. It was one of the greats. Anybody know the details on what happened?

Not a bistro but a stylish new restaurant - Senderens - for chef/owner Alain Senderens. I've been once - not inclined to go back too soon - but I will - especially to their upstairs bar at night. Service was absurdly bad, food beautiful and good what there was of it - microscopic portions - except desserts which were strangely vulgar in size.

Any chance you can convince the people at Taillevent to change into a new restaurant? Is that place living on reputation alone? I was completely disappointed in both the quality of the food and service there. It is too bad. We stayed at the Hotel Meurice and in hindsight would have vastly preferred the food there.
