I was listening to NPR today and heard a very interesting story about a restaurant called Blindekuh (Blind Cow) in Zurich where diners experience food in complete darkness. Has anyone been there!?

It sounds like a bizarre concept, but this restaurant is very popular with both locals and travelers and is booked months in advance. The idea is that because your sense of sight is shut off, your other senses really get to step up for a very unique dining experience. In case you were wondering, the service staff is mostly blind.

"Herr Kellner, was macht diese Fliege in meiner Suppe?"

"Das ist keine Fliege - das ist meine Frau!"

    "Ich versteh' nicht."

    "Fischkopf! Fischkopf! Schtzngrrrmm!!!! Schtzngrrrrmm""

    Oh, the Swiss. So Avant-garde.

I think I caught a "glimpse" of this place on an old (new) Ripley's Believe It Or Not. Tres chic...
