Found this place on the way back to Montreal from the Finger Lakes. This is a grade A diner: friendly staff, just the right look to the red banquettes, excellent menu excellently prepared, juke box selections in your booth and, when that's not running, the Sirius' 50s channel is running in the background.
I had a most excellent Italian sausage (from Renzi's meat market)--lots of fennel and a bit of smoky heat--with peppers and onions. My fries were battered with something very very light (? maybe tempura?) and then perfectly cooked.
TODG got a dynomyte burger: excellent meat, cooked perfectly and served in a purpose-made bun, sort of flat, not puffy, and of just the right texture. She got the cold pasta salad, which would have been a fine entrée all by its lonesome.
This is a pull off the interstate just to eat here kind of place. Even if it's mid-morning or mid-afternoon...

PS. I'll have a report on the Finger Lakes posted soon.
