Where o' where is over-the-top sushi in Philadelphia??

Now, I'm not talking about the cashcow pieces that you order within the luxuries of superstar designer digs with waiting lists and a plethora of sceners. I want the REAL stuff.

Whose got the secret?? Come on...spill the beans.

Morimoto was awesome the one time I went. We ordered the $100/pp omakase, I wish I had taken photos so I could do the meal justice. However, it is a hot spot and is very expensive, so I don't know if it would fit what you're looking for.

I'll second Morimoto, and definitely sit at the sushi bar -- the entertainment factor of the live food porn helps offset the wallet hit.

I've also eaten at pod -- run by the same management company, but they specialized more in what I call silly sushi: goofy rolls which are quite good, but not the altar to fish and rice that sushi at a place like Katsu is.
