I think I need to bookmark that page. Thanks!

I think I've decided on going to John's in the Village, but we'll see. I'd love to go to Patsy's in East Harlem, but it may be tough to get over there...

It wasn't that bad and I just took the subway and walked some blocks. And it was the most vibrant neighborhood I spent any time in. I even got some Puerto Rican food.

John Travolta buys two NY pizza slices, stacks them together to eat simultaneously. Until I saw the opening sequence of Saturday Night Fever recently, I wasn't aware of eating NY slices double-decker and it is implied it could have been a triple-decker possibly.

I mentioned this to a friend who suggested this double- and perhaps triple-decker was something done for the movie. Double or not, he was still able to fold his pizza.

Was this style for the movie or is it common practice?

My mum taught me to fold from her time living there. I've spent childhood summers there. Always ran down for an Italian ice, to the neighborhood deli for cold cuts and cheese for sandwiches, Baskin-Robbins for ice cream, and everywhere for pizza, but I've never seen the double-decker before. This is not a suggestion that it isn't done and actually a pizza sandwich sounds awesome right now, but only if I dance as much as he does. Oh, I have this soundtrack and still adore it.

Folding may be de rigueur, and double-decking perfectly "kosher," but using a fork is quite the faux pas! Will Mayor-elect de Blasio's new administration ever recover from the firestorm that arose when he used a fork to eat his pie at Goodfellas on Staten Island? I guess he can forget about any presidential aspirations right now. And maybe Christie can deflect attention onto Pizza-gate. . .
