Vegetarian-friendly? When I was in Prague in 1998, even the vegetables tasted like meat.

There must be a green vegetable somewhere in Prague. But I can honestly tell you that for the week I was there, I didn't see one.

Not that I'm complaining, mind you.

    M,

There's some very recent discussion and info within this broader thread:

Kampa Park on the Charles River has at least has a vegetarian menu and is "cool" and "laid-back" and somewhat of a celebrity haunt. But others are right that vegetarian does not generally make an appearance on Prague menus.

I just got back from Prague, as you may have noticed in my Bohemian Europe post in this section. We had a few wonderful dinners, but as we are carnivores, didn't notice the vegetarian offerings.

We had great pizza at Maestro, in Old Town. I've checked out the websites of our 2 other dinners and there are vegetarian offerings. We enjoyed both restaurants. They were both in Mala Strana. You can check them out yourself. In any case, you will love Prague.
