Dinner reqs for large group between Kankakee and Oak Park,

Hi,

My sons hockey team has a game at 5pm on a Sunday afternoon in Kankakee in a couple of weeks. The kids will no doubt be starving by the time they finish playing at 6:30

We are looking for a place to have a team dinner. 12 High School boys and about 15 more parents. The new ice rink is just off of I-57 at River Rd. at the south end of town .

Any suggestions close to I-57 on the way back to Chicago/Oak Park will be greatly appreciated.

How about Top Notch Beefburger at about 2000 W 95th St? Not too far from where I57 joins up with the Dan Ryan. They should be able to handle the crowd, although it won't be group seating, since I think they mostly have counters+booths.

Hopefully someone can give you a suggestion closer to Kankakee.

Get off I-57 at the Vollmer Road east exit, head towards Western Avenue, turn left and go to the original Aurelio's in Homewood. Western turns into Harwood Avenue at 183rd St. The can definitely handle your crowd -- if you let them know you are coming, they may be able to hold a section of one of their larger rooms for you.
