Just wanted to put in a good word for Goose the Market, an Indianapolis deli, wine store, and snack/coffee shop at 2503 Delaware. I dropped in on my Thanksgiving visit to the city (where I grew up) and was impressed, not only by the current state of things but by how much they've progressed in the last year. GTM stocks high-end cured meats, some cured in-house, as well as local fresh meats, cheeses, and other treats savory and sweet. The hot sandwich I tried, "The Batali," was very tasty indeed. Hardworking people who know what they're doing.

    Second.

Goose is an ideal of intelligently-curated charcuterie, cheeses, and dry-aged beef. Perhaps the only place to procure biltong in Indy, also. They excel at what I wish I had the carte blanche to do at The Fresh Market.
