There have been a number of mentions of Sullivan Street Bakery (and even more of the no-knead bread craze Jim Lahey sparked), but no dedicated thread. Here are some pictures from a visit this last November.
The bakery features curiously designed delivery trucks. I suppose this is eye-catching, or made to be viewed as a reflection in windows (but that would make the telephone number difficult to decipher):

This was sandwiched in between a charcuterie stop and a 3 course lunch, so we couldn't try too everything that beckoned.
dansch was very excited about this Zucchini pizza.

I thought it had a nice crust and richness, but zucchini rarely persuades me much one way or the other. Instead, I loved the savory brioche with gruyere, prosciutto, fennel seed, and marscapone. Looking back, this wasn't as fine a crumb as brioche I have baked, but whatever you call it, this was just my kind of tender, cheesy, salty thing.

We also enjoyed the Stecca (foreground) which was a slender, airy garlic studded and rosemary infused stick sort of bread.

On the sweet side, we sampled a bombolini with homemade plum jam (foreground) and Torta de Zucca with hokkaido squash (and flavored with honey, cinnamon, allspice, black pepper, ginger, pine nuts, and rosemary). I found the bombolini and especially the plum jam to be very satisfying (although I am a sucker for plum jam). The Torta de Zucca had a nice crumbly texture, but it was hard to taste all the ingredients. It came off as a little less impressive.
