I have struggled with whether to reply as the OP asked for good Indian places. You can get takeout Indian food at Hot Masala in Carpentersville. It's an Indo/Pak grocery store and a good place to load up on spices if you want to roll your own at home. Hot Masala is located right next to Randall Roadhouse across the street from Woodman's and Menards on Randall Road. I cannot find their menu online.
I have had mixed results to date. Chana Masala was far too buttery for me and did not have the tomato/curry type sauce that I am used to. Dal Makhani was good but still a little heavy on the grease. Biryani was plain in terms of the spice level.
It's possibly worth a shot for you as the prices are not high and different people have different tastes. I have not gone through the entire menu obviously. Maybe their meat dishes are better. Normally, I will stop off at BBQ Tonight on my way home from O'Hare and load up on Biryani. I freeze it into balls and then make the Chana Masala or Dal Palak, etc at home. Big bags of spices are very cheap and seem to be fresh at this store so it is worth a visit.
