In late July, my younger brother is getting married in the fine city of Milwaukee, WI. As the Best Man, I am charged with arranging the Bachelor Party. The only parameters set by the husband-to-be were "not so much on the naked girls, lots of the drinking." I am trying to come up with a place where about 12-15 guys can eat food that isn't Bucca Di Rock Bottom Beppo Brewery. Good food with access to good beer is what I am after. Any suggestions would be most welcomed. Danke.

Onopa Brewery might fit the bill. I know for certain that they book a lot of good live music there, but cannot vouch for the food or the beer.

It's been on my list of places to try in Milwaukee for a while now, but circumstances have not yet permitted a visit.
I exist in Chicago, but I live in New Orleans.

Onopa is not the most welcoming place...good beer, but a lots of attitude. When a band is playing, too loud for conversation.

I suggets plunking down in the middle of water street and do a good old fashioned pub crawl. Water Street brewery and Milwaukee Ale house are withinw alking distance of each other. Both serve primarily sandwiches and pub food, but lots of nicer restuarants in teh area also.

One of these days I am gonna a) report on my vacation in Milwaukee b) organize an outing to Old Town Serbian Gourmet.

In the meantime, I offer up Old Town Serbian Gourmet for your party. The place is well equipped for group dining and can throw together all sortsa things including whole pigs and whole lambs. Toss in some of their many layered, housemade bureks; some Serbian sausages, spicy eggplant relish, assorted salads, free-flowing Dalmation wine, Serbian beer or Slivowitz (or all three)...

Well, OK, I WILL get that outing organized soon!

I'd like to second Old Town Serbian. It's a really olde-tymey place, legit in every way. And the cevapcici --the aforementioned Serbian sausages!--are superb.

    Go for it!

I was recently at a conference in Milwaukee and have the perfect place for you. Fourth Base is right by Miller Park (hence the name), it's a small old school Milwaukee neighborhood bar with a real sense of place so you'll know your in Milwaukee and nowhere else.

Countless beers on tap, all the Milwaukee macros plus Sprecher, Leinies, imports etc. This place also has very HOT bartenders - young, very pneumatic, and very revealing outfits. Since you're not having strippers this is the next best thing, I'm sure these women make massive tips. On top of this they have outstanding prime aged steaks, you pick out your cut from an open display cabinet and they grill it up in the open right behind the bar. Great sides too.

There's a small banquet room in back that seats 50. We used all 50 seats and the service was flawless. We didn't ask but I'm sure for an extra $100 one of the bartenders will come back and do a table dance for your group. Enjoy!
