Hi, what does everyone reccomend for the best fried chicken in Indianapolis? I know there are a lot of cafeteria buffets that have great fried chicken, what is the best? Thanks

Assuming my mom is unavailable, I'd probably vote for Hollyhock Hill. Following that, as you suggest, cafeterias usually do a very good job; right now the number of those has been depleted in Indianapolis proper (MCL remains a good choice), but you could get to Gray Brothers or one of the other "monster" cafeterias in an hour or less drive from downtown.

I was at both Shapiro's locations recently, I seem to remember seeing fried chicken, but I was on a mission for pastrami for one lunch and didn't feel like fried chicken the next day.

I would think that if Shapiro's does have fried chicken the odds are that it would be fairly good. At least worth trying.
