This was in Tom Fitzmorris' New Orleans Food Newsletter:

"On the radio last night, my friend Mike Thiess (92.3) was
interviewing the son and at the end of the interview he said that
his mother's surgery was a success and that his parents were
considering reopening late in the year. What do y'all think the
    odds are?"

I talked to Anthony Uglesich when I was down there for JazzFest & he told me at that time that one of the options he was considering was re-opening with a more limited menu (say, just appetizers). This would be just fine with me, as I only ordered the appetizers there anyhow - big piles of them, but all appetizers.

He also said he was considering doing some catering, and I immediately tried to hire him to cater a party that I am throwing down there this fall. He wouldn't commit, saying he really needed to take some time off & figure out what he wanted to do, and I haven't pushed him, yet (though I do have a plan B on the caterer in case he decides not to do it).

I'll post a followup when I hear anything definitive.
I exist in Chicago, but I live in New Orleans.
