A couple of week's ago a friend said "There's a very good pizza to be had in Janesville." "No way" said I. "Hah," said he, you're a scientist so you should test the hypothesis."
Which I did, twice now. He's right: very thin crust, crisp but stretchy, not cracker-y. Nicely browned. Lots of v e r y lovingly chopped (and drained) tiny tomato bits. Spinach and pesto underlayment on the simple cheese pizza, with two excellent quality cheeses. Perfectly cooked. Man, was I *wrong*. This is First-Rate Pizza.
My colleague-wife-person, The Other Dr. Gale (as my students call her), who, being from NYC as she is, is a royal pain in the gluteus, because "there is NO good pizza outside NYC", went so far as to admit that this was "certainly the best pizza I've had in the entire Midwest "(which for her means much of Wisconsin (yes, even LTH's Milwaukee fave), a bit of Chicago, most of St. Louis, and all of KC).
Tony, the man in Lisa, is a wonderful Sicilian who loves to talk to happy folks as they eat his pizza.
Check it out.
