Ithaca Update - the best chinese in town??

Ling Ling has been around for years, & has consistly been voted as either Ithaca's best Chinese take-out or best chinese. The origianl branch is near Northside Liquors (a superb wine & liquor store that I highly recommend, which incidently just recently expanded with a new room for french wines), just off Rt 13 & thought it has a few tables, its really just a store front for their busy takeout business.

A few years ago, Ling Ling opened a second branch, Ling Ling Garden at East Hill Plaza. They've recently renovated & acquired a liquor license, so Mom & I decided to have lunch there rather than take it home. We split an order of mu shoo chicken (which came with 6 pancakes, hoisin & a bowl of fresh rice). Generous, hot & fresh, it was the great, basic, consistent Ling Ling food we've come to know & love over the past 20 years, this time with pleasant service, hot tea & rice that isn't squashed into a little hard lump! Still a regular & busy source of takeout for the neighbourhood, its a nice addition to the area which is lacking in casual dining spots (unless you want to trek to collegetown).
