I thought a few notes were worth sharing from the trip I took over the holidays. While I have very little in terms of food reviews, I have a few photos and notes. I only ate at two establishments of note, otherwise eating like a kingly glutton at various family members' houses and weddings.
The first establishment, Bar-B-Q Tonight in Karachi, I was smart enough to snap a few photos:

This place was tremendous. A place that has grown over the years from a simple stand, it now has 5 floors of dining area - and this huge outdoor kitchen to cook all the meats over open flames. If you notice to the left of the sprite bottle in the photo above, on the little table sign - the Logo for BBQ Tonight is the same that is used for Khan BBQ on Devon, although it appears Khan inherited the sign and modified it with his own name from a previous owner. Don't know for sure, but I got a kick out of it when I noticed the similarity. Actually, the food was similar as well. Tasty BBQ meats. Chapli kabobs, seehk kabobs, chicken seehk kabobs, chicken tikka...
The other restaurant I wanted to mention was Salt n Pepper Village in Lahore. It consisted of a very pleasant village-like atmosphere, upscale (for Pakistan) and one of the biggest, baddest, impressive buffets you'll ever see. The killer was that the food was outstanding. They literally had every Pakistani dish I know about, from meats, veggies, breads to sweets. This is a chain in Pakistan, and I only have this lame outdoor photo to show for it:

Another photo I'd wish I had taken- there was a Pizzeria Uno across the street. Seriously.
cheers,
ab

I remembered I have a few other food-related pictures...

McArabia (chicken patties in pita)- fries tasted exactly the same as they do here. Also of note is that it was the first time in the trip that my stomach felt badly after eating:
