The Twin Cities has some remarkably excellent eateries. Hopefully you'll have a car and a map. A few that I can recommend are:

    Solera. Downtown tapas.
Levain. South Minneapolis, a bit hard to find. Excellent "new" American.
Cafe Brenda. Downtown. Don't be put off by it's "natural" foods and vegetarian focus.
    D'Amico Cucina. Downtown.
St. Paul Grille. St. Paul (Duh!)
Blue Point. Wayzata. Fantastic seafood and martinis.
True Thai. South Minneapolis. Hole in the wall great Thai.

I just returned from my former residence last weekend.
    A few suggestions:
    112 Eatery
    Hell's Kitchen
    Town Talk Diner
Please see the other Minneapolis thread for more specifics.

Well, I mentioned this in the other thread, but I cannot mention this place enough:

    Minneapolis Midtown Global Market

Of course, I have a ulterior motives. Not only is this place REALLY worth a visit if in Minneapolis, it is exactly the kinda place that needs to open in Chicago and the more people that go, the more buzz we can create (no?)
