The famed, and limited, hams, mentioned, among other places, in Peter Kaminsky's book "Pig Perfect," are in and shipping. I scored a nice 16-17 lb. ham, which I've hung for a little more aging.

    Wade,

I have one of those bad boys myself. Just looking at it is like a favorite song on a rainy day.*

    Gary,

You have me thinking about creating a shrine to my Newsome ham.

    Wade,

I've had mine hanging for about 10-months, 'bout time to stop admiring and start eating. :)

Here's a link to Pigmon's pig-a-rific post from his and Trixie-Pea's visit to Colonel Newsome's

    Gary,

The thrift-shop pig is courtesy of my girlfriend, who created the pig/rose poster from it. I'm waiting on the Famous LTHForum pork clock to complete the installation.

    Wade,

Pork Clock is the perfect finishing touch. 8)

Glad to see you have a drip catcher under the leg-o-piggy, it drips, not a lot, but enough to necesitate a drip pan.

I'm really interested in your eventual uses as I'm not quite sure what I'm doing with mine as of yet.

    Enjoy,

    Gary,

How long have you had yours hanging?

Depending upon how much longer I decide to continue to age/can stand to wait, I'm thinking baking the whole ham for a shorter additional age, a slice and fry for a longer age, or even going for a prosciutto.

    Cheers,
    Wade
