Cheap Pork

For those people planning to prepare pork on this propitious pigskin weekend, two of my favorite markets in Niles seem to be engaged in a porcine price-war. Farmer's Best and Sunview markets both have picnics for .99/lb and bellies for 1.99/lb. The picnics are better trimmed at Sun View, but I got some beautiful spare-ribs (1.99/lb) at Farmer's Best, along with some 1 3/8" thick center-cut loin chops (2.29/lb). Sun View had some nice looking loin roasts on sale too.

Sunview also had some fresh (non-frozen) rabbits in stock (but no Colt meat).
