I finally made it to Round Lake Beach where my mechanic has his shop. As it was going to take eight hours to fix my chariot for the coming winter, I decided to take a spin over to Gurnee Mills.

There is a Border's Outlet in that mall. I had not seen it there before. They had a good number of Food TV chef's books for 20-30% list. I am not interested in them but ... they would make good gifts if you are into that sort of thing.

    Just an FYI.

FYI, JLawrence or anyone else reading. Tyler Florence's "Real Food" is a great cookbook. I've tried outstanding recipes including an excellent and authentic lamb curry, lemon chicken that gives Tufano's a run for its money, and a great Texas style Chili with Pasillas and Chocolate.

Don't let the pretty face fool ya. This guy is a seriously good cook.

Its mail order, but you would be hard pressed to beat the prices from David Spriggs at NewBooksCheap. He has great deals on all books and specializes in some cookbooks.
