We use the Trader Joe's version, but add some red pepper flakes. Sometimes we get the Iron Chef brand, but find it can be a bit sweet. We also have tried the Archer Farms (Target brand) and it was pretty good also.
I know you didn't ask, but I'm gonna share how we prepart the chicken before frying for this dish. I cut up the chicken (1.5lbs) and marinate in one egg, a tablespoon of cornstarch, healthy grind of black pepper and a pinch or two of kosher salt. I let this sit in the fridge for about an hour. Then I take the chicken and recoat with cornstarch and fry at 350 until golden brown. Toss with the sauce and serve over rice with steamed broccoli. Yum!
