Bolones con queso

I was watching PBS with Sparky today, and in the "and now a word from us kids" segment, or possibly the between-shows segment, a girl came on and made this recipe with her Ecuadorian grandmother. She called it "Green banannas stuffed with cheese" and the above translation was on the crawler.

Near as I could ascertain from watching, the green banannas were actually green plantains, they were boiled and mashed, rolled into balls, and stuffed with something, and then pan-fried.

Anybody have a recipe or know of a restaurant where this is offered? I googled it, but only came up with recipes in spanish which don't explain what the cheese stuffing is (one of them implied it was cream cheese, making me even more curious)
