Anyone know where I can get these close to the Western suburbs?

Not close to the Western Suburbs, but I just saw them at Lincolnwood Produce.

The Wild Oats in Evanston has always had bulk pumpkin seeds. I would imagine their other locations would have them -- and if the Internet can be believed, there is a Wild Oats in Hinsdale (that's west, right?).

Again, not western, but Arax Foods on Milwaukee in Niles (about two blocks south of Golf Mill on the opposite side) has roasted salted pumpkin and several kinds of melon seeds too, in big bulk bins, in addition to bulghur, favas, nuts, etc.

Maxwell St. Market. Only on Sundays. And not Western Suburbs.

Thanks all. I can do Hinsdale and Niles (on the way to Burt's) ;)

What about Mitsua? Would they have anything like that there?

Mitsuwa doesn't have bulk goods in bins, but they might have packaged ones, perhaps squid flavored?

Another option might be Home Economist in Skokie, Gross Point Rd just south of Church. Not too far a hike from Burt's.

Trader Joe's has a packaged pumpkin seed. They are not salty enough for me but they are "meaty"

The Home Economist in Westmont usually has them.
