Pol Roger

This may be a case of too little too late, but it's a tremendous deal if there's still any stock left. I got an e-mail yesterday from Binny's saying they had a limited amount of Pol Roger - a first-class Champagne from Epernay - for $14.99 a bottle (it's usually more than double that).

Two catches - You have to already have a Binny's Frequent Drinker's card (or whatever they call it); and it's "while supplies last." Got the e-mail yesterday, went to the Skokie store today, and they only had 12 bottles left. After I left, about 2:30, they had 8 bottles left.

But at least my deluxe champagne needs for the holidays are set.

It's a shame I don't have one of their cards.

Pol Roger's "Sir Winston Churchill" is quite possibly my all-time favorite.
