    Hello,
I' m wondering if anyone knows of a source for this?
Years ago a marzipan nativity scene (with I might add, not only a cradle but hay) was sent as a gift to our family.

After it arrived and was displayed in an easy to get to place for children and adults- several members of the nativity scene were....missing or became fractions.
I will admit to shortening one of the wisemen, ok, two of them- but that's it!

AnyI've combed the internet and can't find anything.
    Thoughts on this?

A quick Google of "presepe" and "marzapane" (Italian for "creche" and "marzipan") yielded many hits, the first of which has a picture of one Mr. Chemi standing behind a marzipan nativity, replete with palm trees, in the window of the Pasticceria Etna in Taormina, Sicily.

A shortcut avoiding Taormina might be to call Palermo Bakery on Harlem Ave in Chicago and ask if they have a line on something. They usually have le frutte di Martorana, the small, realistic pieces of fruit made of marzipan that are popular in Palermo. Perhaps they might know a Marzapanisto nearby who accepts commissions for presepi.
