Im a big tamale eater and always have to try one or two when I see them on a menu. I havent seen the packages of fresh "Homemade style" tamales offered by Catalina food products here in Chicago up until yesterday. For some store bought tamales these things are pretty damn tasty, better than most taqueria's I have had. My only problem was they literally put a slather of pork in the middle making them more like pork "flavored" tamales. They offer two types: mild-pork w/ red peppers and hot-pork with green peppers.

A package of 10 cost $5.49...Ill buy them again next time I see them as thats a pretty good price.

FWIW, I see those regularly at Tony's on Elston.

I've had the cheese and jalopeno ones and thought they were quite good for store bought tamales.

    lol -
I just tried these for the first time last night after seeing them everywhere for years now. I actually bought one of the oaxacan with ghicken and chile. Never again. It was a big hunk of thick masa. Dense. Nicely spicy, but the thing weighed probably over 1 lb, and it was just a big thick mound of masa. The reg tamales I'd get in a pinch if I needed to, but I would rather get them cheaper from a few places I know of. For storebought mass produced, tho, they are borderline acceptable. This remionds me of a thread I wanted to start....
